Soapworks sends its products in a nice paper carton box with paper tapes. Inside they use fine paper bits to provide cushioning and there is no plastic involved in the packaging at all. No plastic AT ALL! isn’t that awesome?
Now about the product packaging – It also comes in a nice paper packaged tube. Its sturdy and looks like the paper packaging will last the entire usage of the product, hopefully.
But with the paper packaging, I was a little confused as to how to get the product (lip balm) up so as to use it; since it is made up of paper I was sure that there is no twist tube through which the product would move up. So I went through the label and there it said that the product needs to be pushed from the bottom in order to get it up. With this, one needs to be careful so as to not push too much, because once pushed to the top it is not possible to get the product down back again.
The 100% Natural and Handmade Lipbalm is nice and nourishing. Although its extremely humid and hot here in Chennai, the product did not melt nor become soggy. The paper packaging is quite good and sturdy. The lip balm remains intact and does not become soft or mushy.
The balm has a very light smell and the lips immediately feel moisturized on application. It contains shea butter which is known to provide intense moisturization and help chapped lips. Also, the presence of rice bran wax makes it a good natural skin conditioner.
Awesomely sustainable, plastic-free packaging and a brilliant moisturizing lip balm.

About Soapworks India :
Soapworks soaps was created because of a sincere concern about the harsh chemicals present in skincare products and the adverse effects of these chemicals on us, our children and our planet.
Soapworks was started by a young woman named Harini Sivakumar who is a banker turned entrepreneur. Soap making was her passion and hobby. During the initial days, she used to make a few batches of soaps just for home use and to gift them to friends and relatives. Over a period of time, the demand for these soaps started to develop and had a lot of requests on custom orders. The hobby gradually grew into a small home-run business and now into a formal manufacturing unit. Harini also has her studio at Sector 47, Gurgaon, Haryana where she formulates her unique recipes and also retails out.
The USP of the products is that they are 100% natural and chemical-free. The colorants used are botanical (indigo powder, arrowroot powder, spirulina powder) and micas, and the fragrances used are essential oils and fragrances that are plant-based and chemical-free.
Today, at Soapworks there is a huge selection of bath and body products. People have become more aware of the harmful effects of the chemicals these bigger MNCs use in their products are slowly turning to natural and organic living.
